With the increasing industrialization and growing dependence on electricity, manmade fire is creating havoc for safety management experts. There lies a big gap in requirement of professionals needed for fire safety and disaster management and the available manpower. Beside the head count gap there is quantum technological advancement in the methods of fire safety and its prevention.
Since 1956, with the establishment of ‘National Fire Service College’ Nagpur is on the forefront of training fire fighters and is emerging as the fire training capital of the country. Nagpur has produced some of the distinguished fire fighters who went on to become the chief architects of fire safety establishment of current times. Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering under the aegis of Shri Arvind Singh Bahuuddeshiya Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur has been working in this field. It has trained and placed more than thousands of professionals till now.
At IFSE we are driven by the nobility and “THE LAST HOPE” of this distinct profession. It is as noble as fighting with the enemy to save the landmass. Fire fighters on the mission are the last hope. If your profession involves saving life and it pays you for your livelihood it is same as that of army personnel. With the modern equipment and extensive use of computer based stimulation fire fighting is fast becoming less hazardous. The loss of life and property because of the fire fighters on their missions has decreased substantially during the last decade.
IFSE is affiliated with the three leading academic and technical bodies; these are MSBTE (Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education), YCMOU (Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University), and AMU (Annamalai University). These are NAAC accredited UGC approved universities, the array of courses available at IFSE through these technical body and universities are well researched and widely accepted in the industry and Government Organizations.
Institution provides necessary infrastructure and a team of highly qualified and motivated faculty / guest lecturers all under one roof for the student community. They present their skills according to BIS/NFPA/UK comparative standards to our trainees / officers along with high technology and different modern approach regarding industrial HSE management systems.
